Add TXT Record to Your DNS to Verify Domain Ownership

Why Verify

Once verified, you’ll be able to set up Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing you to easily provide access to Vosaic for everyone at your organization.

How To Verify

REQUIREMENT
You must be in an Administrator role to access these settings.

IMPORTANT
If your organization has more than one Vosaic account, you must contact our team to assist you with domain verification and SAML setup.

Step 1

Log in to your Vosaic account, and select “Features” from the “Hi, [Your Name]” dropdown menu in the top right corner.

In the Single Sign-On (SSO) box, press the Settings button.

Press the Copy to Clipboard button next to the Domain Verification Value input field.

Step 2

Log in to your domain host and follow their instructions on adding a TXT record to your Host Record.

Here are some examples:

Enom

  1. At the top of the page, click Domains -> My Domains.
  2. If you have multiple domains with this host, click the domain name you want to verify for your Google service.
  3. Click Host Records
  4. At the bottom of the Host Records table, click New Row.
  5. An empty host record row appears.
  6. Leave the Host Name field of the new row empty.
  7. From the Record Type list, select TXT
  8. In the Address field, paste the entire verification record that you copied in Step 1.
  9. Click Save

Network Solutions

  1. Scroll down to Text (TXT Records) and click Edit TXT Records.
  2. In the first open Host field, enter @.
  3. In the TTL field, leave the default value of 7200 (seconds).
  4. In the Text field, paste the entire verification record that you copied in step 1.
  5. Scroll down and click Continue.
  6. Click Save Changes to confirm the verification record.

Amazon Web Services

  1. In the Create Record Set pane, leave the Name field blank.
  2. From the Type field, select TXT - Text.
  3. In the Alias field, leave the default of No.
  4. In the TTL field, leave the default value.
  5. In the Value field, paste the entire verification record that you copied in Step 1. Enclose the text in quotation marks.
  6. In the Routing Policy field, leave the default policy.
  7. Click Create.

GoDaddy

  1. From the Type list, select TXT.
  2. In the Host field, enter @.
  3. In the Text field, paste the entire verification record that you copied in step 1.
  4. In the TTL field, leave the default value.
  5. Click Save.

Register.com

  1. Go back to the Register.com site tab you opened earlier.
  2. Hover over Domains in the Account Dashboard and click Manage.
  3. In the Domain row, click Manage for the domain name that you want to verify for your Google service.
  4. Scroll down to Advanced Technical Settings and click Edit TXT Records (SPF).
  5. Paste the entire verification code you copied earlier into the TXT Record field.
  6. Leave the Host Name field blank and click Continue.
  7. Click Continue again to save your new TXT record.

Vosaic’s domain verification process closely mimics Google’s process. If you don’t see your domain registrar listed above, visit this support page on Google to find instructions for your domain registrar.
