Vosaic's COPPA Compliance

Vosaic is designed to help teachers and students while fully protecting the privacy of children under 13. Here’s what COPPA compliance means when your district uses Vosaic:

1. Schools give consent on behalf of parents.

Under COPPA, districts can approve the use of Vosaic for students under 13. We rely on the school’s authorization—never direct consent from children.

2. Vosaic collects only the minimum data needed to provide the service.

The only student information Vosaic receives is what your school chooses to upload, such as classroom videos for coaching and feedback. We don’t collect unnecessary personal data.

3. Student data is used only for educational purposes.

Vosaic does not sell, rent, or use student data for advertising or marketing. Everything we handle is strictly to support teaching, coaching, and learning.

4. Strong security protects all videos and student information.

All data is encrypted during upload, download, playback, and storage, and is hosted securely in AWS following industry best practices.

5. Data is never shared with third parties except as directed by the district.

We do not redisclose student videos or personal information unless your district explicitly authorizes it.

6. We do not use any student data or videos to train AI or machine-learning models.

AI Mate and all Vosaic AI features only analyze your district’s data for your district’s purposes. Nothing is ever used to train, improve, or refine external or internal models.

7. Schools retain full control over data.

District administrators can access, manage, and delete student videos at any time. Upon request or contract termination, Vosaic securely deletes all district data.

8. Parents have rights, and Vosaic supports the district in fulfilling them.

If parents ask to review or delete their child’s information, Vosaic helps the district meet those requests—always working through the school, not directly with families.
