Vosaic's FERPA Compliance

Vosaic is fully committed to protecting student privacy and meeting all FERPA requirements. Here’s what that means in clear, simple terms:

1. Your district stays in control of all student data.

Vosaic only uses videos and other information to provide the services your teachers and coaches need. We do not use your data for anything else.

2. Vosaic acts as a “school official” under FERPA.

This means we only access student-identifiable information when necessary to support your district—and never for our own purposes.

3. Only the right people can see the right videos.

Teachers, coaches, and administrators get access based on the permissions your district sets. Vosaic provides detailed access controls and logs who views what content.

4. Student data is protected with strong security.

All videos and information are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in secure AWS environments, and protected with strict internal security policies.

5. No redisclosure of student information.

Vosaic never shares your videos with anyone outside your district unless you explicitly direct it.

6. We do not use customer videos or data to train any AI or machine-learning models.

AI Mate and all Vosaic AI features run only on your data for your district’s purposes. Nothing is added to training sets, reused, or shared.

7. You control retention and deletion.

Your district can delete videos or user accounts at any time. If your contract ends, Vosaic securely deletes all your data following your instructions.

8. FERPA rights are honored through the district.

If parents or students request access or corrections, we support the district in fulfilling those requests. We never communicate directly with families.
