If you're using Coda with Studiocode, the following few set-up steps only need to be done once after Coda is installed, but before beginning to use Coda. These steps are not mandatory, but much of the Studiocode documentation was designed with this set-up in mind, and will help make the Coda workflow more user-friendly.
- After installing and registering Coda on the Mac, launch Coda.
- Go to CODA > Command Centre
- In the Command Centre: Single click on Server
?
- In the Command Centre: Single click on OFF in order to turn the Status on.?
?
- Go to File > New Form
- On the Form: Single click on Event on the Form toolbar
?
- Go to File > Save. Name the Form anything you want since you won't save it in the long run, and choose Desktop. Then click Save. ?
?
- On the Form: Single click on Code.
?
- On the Form: Single click on OFF to switch the Network on.
?
- On the Form: Single click on the Online Server which should be the name of the Mac.
?
- Single click on New Session
?
- Type the name of the Session, which could be anything since it won't be important in the long run. Then click Create.
?
- Single click anywhere on the Desktop, then select SHIFT+COMMAND+h on the keyboard. This will take you to the Home folder in a Finder Window. Once there, select the Public folder and you should see the CODA Sessions folder inside of it.
?
- Click and drag the CODA Sessions folder from its location to the left sidebar of the Finder Window. Let it go in a place that is easy to access.
?
- You can close the Coda Command Centre and Coda Form without saving anything if prompted.
