The following steps explain how to import a properly formatted Excel Edit List into a Studiocode timeline.

In Studiocode...
1. Open only the timeline (e.g. movie package) that you wish to import the data to. Close all other timelines.
2. File > Import > Excel edit list
3. In the subsequent window, choose the desired data file and click "Open".
4. Make the appropriate selection based on the following dialogue window.
? "Combine" will create the rows and instances in the timeline that is currently open on the screen. Be aware that if any cells in the "category" column of Excel Edit List share the exact same name (case sensitive) as any existing columns in the timeline, there is a chance for instances being overwritten
? If you would like to import an Excel Edit List into a discreet timeline, it's best to create the timeline prior to doing the import, then open the desired timeline, and choose "Combine". In other words, it's not ideal to select "New" from the dialogue window below.User-added image

After clicking "Combine" the rows and corresponding instances will appear in the timeline. Row colors are not imported.
