You might have watched the previous screen recording about how to live capture or record in studio code but if you have existing movie files that have been recorded on for example camcorders and you moved it to the Mac such as this movie here that says Broadway and oak you can also code those in Studio code very simply by creating a movie package out of them that might look something like this where I can create a timeline first then link it to that movie let me find it here on the desktop first then I'll choose it and click open and then I'll place the movie and the timeline in a self-contained Studio code movie package.

You can see here that the movie and the file actually got wrapped up in this movie package icon so here is the movie package with the movie and the timeline and now I can click and drag and get to any point in the movie.

Very similarly if you have audio files all you need to do is quickly convert those into a movie file and you'll be able to code those as well by taking advantage of the same process again I can create a new timeline and instead of linking it in this case to the mp3 audio file I'll just link it to the movie file that I created out of the mp3 same process create a movie package and in this case there's just a placeholder for the video since there really isn't anything valuable to look at it's more just the audio that I'll be listening to typically for purposes of transcribing.
