Policy
A Reset/Replacement Form should be filled out and submitted in the event that your Studiocode license is unable to be deregistered from a Mac. This might be due to the fact that your Mac was stolen or experienced a hardware failure.
In the event that your Mac was stolen, Studiocode Group requires a police report to be filed in order for the license to be replaced. This includes a situation where a Mac was taken by a former staff member, unless of course you simply have the former staff member deregister the license.
In the event that your Mac experienced a hardware failure which prevented the deregistration, Studiocode Group requires some form of documentation that explains the work that was executed. This could be an itemized receipt from a vendor, or a short letter (on institutional letterhead) explaining the work that was done to the Mac.
In situations where an institution owns more than one Studiocode license, they have accurate documentation of which Studiocode license needs to be reset. Thus, if there is any uncertainty as to which license might need to be reset, Studiocode Group reserves the right to ask for the location of each of the remaining active Studiocode licenses in order to determine with license needs to be reset through process of elimination.
A license reset or replacement is free of charge with a current Annual Support Agreement. Without an Annual Support Agreement, there is a $100 fee.
