Studiocode Tutorials | 3.10 Code Window - Customize Toolbar
In this video tutorial we will cover how to customize the toolbar in the code window.
When you control click the code window toolbar you are presented with a drop-down menu with a few different options. The first option is icon and text. This option will show both the icon and its corresponding text. It is the default option and you can see that it is currently enabled by the check mark next to it.
The next option is icon only I can click this and you see in the code window toolbar that only icons are shown with no identifying text below each icon. If I control click on the tool bar again the next option is text only this option will save some space in the code window but to use any of the buttons in the toolbar you'll need to click the text which will make the icons appear again.
The final option when control clicking the toolbar is to simply hide the toolbar this option will save space but it's not as easy to get the toolbar to reappear again as when you have the text only option enabled so there is a trade-off.
To get the toolbar to reappear you'll need to control click in the title bar of the code window and select your desired option. If you control click on the tool bar again you'll see that another option is called use small size. If I click on that option you see the text and some of the icons in the toolbar have gotten smaller.
I'll go ahead and go back to the regular size and the final option is customize toolbar in this drop-down I can add or delete a variety of buttons to the toolbar by simply dragging and dropping. If I want to add an icon to the toolbar I'll just click and drag the icon into the desired spot within the code window toolbar.
To delete an icon from the toolbar click and drag the icon out of the toolbar. You can also change the icon settings that are in the right-click menu at the bottom of this drop-down.
