Studiocode Tutorials | 6.14 Labels & Groups - Strip Labels and Remove Duplicates
In this tutorial we're going to cover how to remove duplicate labels from instances and how to remove all labels from instances.
So let me first point out that if I hover my mouse over a given instance here on this particular instance I have, you can see I have two North labels an Elm label and a Broadway label, and my thought at this point is that I want to make sure I don't have duplicate labels on any given instance.
So I want to make sure I only have one North label and remove any other duplicates.
So a nice feature that I can use to remove duplicate labels.
Well first of all select the instances that you want to remove duplicates from.
So if you just wanted to remove them from one row just to let that row you know if there's just a range of instances you can click and drag, but again I'll do Command+A to select all thinking that I want to remove duplicates from all instances so I'll come to the Edit drop-down menu of at the top, go all the way almost down to the bottom, and I'll go to "remove duplicate labels from selected instances"
So let's do that, and this is going to give me a little dialogue "Do you wish to delete 132 labels in 131 selected instances in this window?", so that's "yes".
Now, if I hover over an instance you can see that there is only the one North label here, whereas previously I had two North labels on all of the taxi instances.
And then you might have seen the other feature that I'm going to talk about. If I go to "Edit" and towards the bottom "Strip instance contents" means that it will remove all the labels from the selected instances so if I don't have let's let's see let's just select one row first and I'll go to strip instance content that will now remove you can see if I hover over this instance it will remove all the labels in that given row on this given instance but the labels down here still exist in the bus row.
