In this video tutorial we're going to talk about how to control whether or not the matrix adds new labels and rows to itself while coding in real time.

So for example I have a matrix open here and I haven't changed any of the settings yet and by default if I'm coding and I click let's say taxi let me pause that you can see that right away it adds a taxi row to the matrix so that's the default behavior of the matrix but if you go way out to the right here and go to settings on the matrix you get this little roll down window and if now if I uncheck add new labels and codes to matrix uncheck that hit okay I'm going to go back to the coding process here press play and if I hit bus which is not yet in the matrix you can see that it adds a row to the timeline but in this case it does not add the row to the matrix so that goes for labels like the north south east west here these are labels so now that I've unchecked that box neither labels nor codes will get added in real time to the matrix.
