Vosaic Connect iPhone App

The first iteration of the Vosaic iPhone^® app is finally here. Our goal with this version of the iPhone app is to make video recording, markup, and uploading to Vosaic more accessible for you.

The functionality of the app is very similar to the iPad version, but there are some limitations due to the smaller size of the iPhone. Some of those limitations may disappear over time as we continue to update the app in the future.

Here’s A Side-By-Side comparison:

The Video List on the iPhone is hidden by default. To see it, simply tap the last (Video List) button in the menu.

The “Add Video” workflow is the same on both the iPad and iPhone.

Recording and marking up video is consistent with the iPad version as well. However, as shown below, the video preview is quite a bit smaller on the iPhone. You can make the video bigger during recording by swiping left anywhere in the markup column.

The major difference between the iPhone and the iPad occurs on the video player screen. The timeline is currently not displayed on the iPhone due to the small size of the screen.

Best use of iPhone app

Because this version of our iPhone app does not include a timeline on the video player, we recommend using the iPhone app in the following situations:

• As a single recording and markup device
• As a remote device in two device capture setup

At this point we do not recommend using the iPhone app for:

• Debrief
• Any level of post-capture analysis
